You may not agree with Will (he can be quite opinionated and arrogant at times), but his premise is that the collaborating artists are simply not in Sinatra's league and their ignorance to this fact shows in the performances. Will Friedwald in his book "Sinatra! The Song is You" pretty much lays it bare in the final chapter where he rips apart the Duet CDs. This special edition features both Duets and Duets II on both 12" vinyl and compact disc. There are a few good performances on the Duets CDs but overall I think they were a bad thing for Sinatra. To commemorate Duets' 20th anniversary, the album and its sequel will be re-released in a special collector's edition. The album was released as a sequel to the 1993 hit album Duets. Duets II is the sixty-seventh and final studio album recorded by Frank Sinatra.
